- fittings with the actors to fit costumes
- experiment with variety of materials
- test actor functionality
- create a costume bible
- create a quick change schedule
who is involved making costumes?
cutters, tailors, makers, milliners and art finishers
what is a toil?
a test pattern out of inexpensive fabric ie. muslin or linen
