Graduated form the university of Chicago, and worked on the first physical message sent to the cosmos. Character from Simpsons- Professor John Frink was inspired by him. His best-selling book: Cosmos- The personal Voyager and his series reached millions. Planet 2709 Sagan, was named after him.
