Negative = As one variable increases the another might decrease

Positive= points will cluster upwards from bottom left to top right
Negative= points will cluster downwards from top left to bottom right

The STRONGER the correlation, the closer to a diagonal straight line the point will be

Zero correlation= points scattered without obvious pattern

A value between 0 and 1 is a correlation coefficient- tells you how strong the relationship is between the variables

+1= perfect positive correlation
-1 = perfect negative correlation
