Liability for allowing incompetent doctor to practice medicine at hospital
-Generally, hospitals seek references, check degrees & background dr. claims, & check for complaints & malpractice lawsuits.
–> No defense if dr. lied
-Duty to re-examine dr.’s record before re-credentialing
