Unnatural or violent death
Pregnancy or death during childbirth
Institutional death

Coroner inquest x 5
A
- the fact someone has died
- Cause of death
- identity of deceased
- circumstances of the death
- where and when the death occurred

Who can verify someone has died?
A
Medical practitioners, nurse, midwife, paramedic
In case of obvious death police specialist (SAR, DVI, Dive squad)

Deaths into which inquiries must be opened

- suicide
- in official custody or care
- death in which the coroner is not satisfied that the cause or circumstances of death have been established

What kind of doctor can sign off cause of death

Must be General practitioner or nurse practitioner of deceased
