Symptoms of corns and calluses
Yellow hyperkeratinised skin- caused by excessive pressure or friction on the skin. Common cause is wearing poor-fitting shoes or high heels)
Hard thickened skin
More common on foot
Can be painful
Difference between corona and calluses
Corns- small circles of thick skin that usually develop on top and sides of toes or on the soles of the foot. However, can occur anywhere
Calluses- hard rough areas of skin that are often yellowish in colour. Can develop on feet usually on heels or on skin under the ball of the feet

Padding or shielding - helps relieve pressure NOTE: corns will only get better if cause of pressure is removed
Advice
Wear appropriate well-fitting shoes (caused by high heels and poor fitting shoes)
Use a pumice stone to gently remove hard skin
Dry your feet thoroughly after washing them
