comformity and social control, guiding principles that dictates behavior

basic rights and freedom that belong to every person from birth to death

Inherent - universal and inborn to every human
Interdependent/interrelated - rights are connected to each other (if one is violated, it is possible that another can be affected)
Inalienable - Cannot be taken away and transferred
Indivisible - Cannot be seperated
what is social equity?
fairness vis-a-vis equality, states that social services should be delivered equitably
what is gender equality?
equal treatment of men and women
what does Karl Marx believe?
It is impossible to reach equality because of the Conflict theory

endless conflicts (one conflict leads to another
