Feminism is a theory that opposes the patriarchy and argues women’s rights.

The idea that the bourgeoisie holds economic and social power over the proletariat.

The idea that all aspects of intitutions play a key role in society for it to be able to run smoothly.
What is Interactionism?
It’s a bottom-up theory where human interactions affect the society we live in
What is Postmodernism?
The theory that we have moved out of a modern society into a newer one (postmodern) due to social changes.

Parsons - Institutions such as school, media, religion teach children the norms and values of wider society
What is neoliberalism?
The belief in a ‘free market’ and that the government should only protect private property
What are social policies?
Government legislations that seek to improve the well-being of its people and society
