straightens/extends elbow - crucial for upper body quality - assists in falls and lifts - also gives firmness under the arm

Bicep function
Bends/flexes elbow - strengthens arms for falls and lifts
Pectorals location
front of chest
Pectorals function
Bring arms across chest, lower arm when overhead - good in bringing in arms for turns
Trapezius and Latissimus dorsi location
trap - upper back, lats - middle back
Traps + lats function
moves scapulae, pulls arms downward, backward and inward. Provides control over the entire back and arms
Obliques location
side stomach
obliques function
twist upper body to either side. Assist in stabilising through centre of gravity
rectus abdominus function
utilised for stability - engaged at all times
Quadratus lumborum location

quadratus lumbroum function
bends upper body to side, stabilizes pelvis and spine

raises the thigh to the side - hip flexor

Contributes to thigh turnout, stabilises hip and allows for extension from hip

straightens knee, steadies knee joint, extends leg

inner thigh, helps turn out rotation and assists in lifting the leg
Gastrocnemius location
calf

points foot, raises leg to ball of foot and bends knee
Tibialis anterior location
front of lower leg

flexes the foot and ankle
tibialis posterior and peroneals location
around either side of ankle
