What is Wellbeing?
The degree of satisfaction that an individual or group experiences when needs are met
What are the factors affecting Wellbeing?
Social, Physical, Emotional, Economic, Cultural, Spiritual
What is a need?
The necessities of life, which are required for survival and physical and mental health
What is a want?
Preferences or desires not necessary for survival or for the maintenance of good health
What is the difference between a need and a want?
Need are vital to sustain life. Wants are preferences or desires
What are the specific needs?
Safety and security, health, education, sense of identity, employment, adequate standard of living
What is Maslow’s Hierarchy?
A psychology five tier model of human needs
What is goal setting?
They are targets that direct an individual’s activities and energies and often reflect the values and needs of individuals and groups
What are resources?
Things people use to achieve goals
What are human resources?
The skills, abilities or talents of people
What are non-human resources?
Tangible or touchable objects
What is the interchangeability of resources?
Resources have a variety of uses and individuals must decide how to best use them. sometimes, skills are exchanged
How can personal values and past experiences influence resource management?
They are the qualities that an individual or family believes to be desirable and important in life. They are tangible and yet influence how we feel and act in our environment

Energy, knowledge, intelligence, sight, language

Food, clothing, money, electricity, shelter, cars

Gender, age, socioeconomic status, culture, disability, ethnicity
