Used for beating and blending. They are efficient I stir sauces and beat egg white mixtures.

Also known as hand beaters. Used to beat eggs and mix thin batter such as pancake batter.

They are bowls with holes for draining foods such as cooked pasta.

It is shallow with long handles. They have covers sometimes and are used for eggs and bacon.

They are deeper than skillets and re measured in quarts or liters. They have covers an one handle.

Comes in different sizes and are used for breads and meat loaves.
What does simmer mean?
Heating a liquid to the temp just below the boiling point.
What does steam mean?
A method of cooking food over boiling water rather than in it.
What is broil?
Cooking food directly over it under heat source.
What does stir-fry mean?
A method where small pieces of food are stirred and cooked very quickly at high heat.
What is braise?
A method which involves browning food in a small amount of fat then simmering in very little added liquid.
What is yield?
The amount of food. The serving the recipe makes.
