COntrols and indicators Flashcards
Overheat light
Overheat condition
Elec power to window interrupted
Window heat ON light OFF?
switch off
overheat detected
system failure
correct temp
Window Heat TEST - OVHT?
PWR TEST?
1) simulated overheat condition
2) Confidence test
Wiper setting - INT?
every 7sec
Probe Heat light on STBY POWER?
Probe heat lights do not indicate system status.
Probe Heat switches AUTO?
power auto to A and B probe heat system when either engine running.
COWL ANTI ICE light, B738?
amber, overpressure in duct downstream of engine cowl anti Ice valve.
Cowl Valve OPEN light, B738?
extinguished - valve close
Bright blue - cowl anti ic valve in transit, valve position disagrees with switch position.
DIM - cowl anti ice vale is OPEN
MAX
1ENG ANTI ICE light
2COWL ANTI ICE light
3COWL VALVE light
1 thermal anti ice system inhibited due system failure or and engine core anti ice valve fails close.
2 overpressure in duct downstream engine cowl anti ice valve.
3 momentary - valve transit
steady - disagrees with switch
extinguished - close - switch off
open - switch ON
MAX
engine anti ice switch ON / off
ON
opening cowl anti ice valve
stick shaker logic - icing cond
green TAI on engine display
OFF
stick shaker logic return normal if WAI not been used in flight.
Thermal anti ice indication?
green - cowl anti ice valve open
Amber - valve disagrees with switch
WAI
L / R VALVE OPEN light B738?
Bright blue
wai control valve transit
valve disagrees with switch
DIM BLUE
OPEN - with switch ON
Extinguished - valve closed with switch off.
MAX, Wing VALVE lights.
L/R VALVE amber
Momentary
WAI valve in transit
Steady
WAI valve disagrees with WAI switch.
Extinguished - closed/open as per switch position.
WAI switch
ON in air
WAI control vale open
stick shaker logic set for icing conditions. remain set for icing conditions for remainder of flight, regardless of switch position.
ON (ground)
valve open - both engines thrust below TO warning setting and temps below thermal switch activation temps.
Valve CLOSE - thrust above TO setting OR thermal switch activated.
Switch trip OFF at after lift off.
