controls Flashcards
Purpose
provides control on lonigtudinal, lateral, and vertical axes
Flight Control Computer (FLCC)
principal component, receives input from side stick controller, rudder pedals, trim, autopilot, interial sensors, & air data
side stick controller
stick grip and force sensing transducer, right console, pitch & roll
manual trim panel
provides pitch, roll, & yaw trim commands
rudder pedal assembly
commands position of rudder, located forward of center of cockpit on the floor
flight control panel
controls and indicators for flight control malfunctions, performs & monitors self-tests
flight control accumulators
one each hydraulic system, supplies hydraulic pressure to ISA when demand is higher than pump delivery 3 secs of pressure in case of fail
flaperons
ctrl roll movement, 23 deg. up and 20 deg. down, func. as ailerons and flaps
integrated servoactuators ISA
electrically commanded, hydraulically powered, one is mech. connected to each primary FLT Ctrl surfaces, powered by both A & B hydr. sys.
horizontal stab
ctrl pitch, 21 deg. up or down, symmetrically for pitch, asymmetrically to augment roll maneuvers
Leading edge flaps
2nd FLT ctrl spanning the length of each wing, provides high lift and optimized FLT perform. 2deg up and 20 deg down
electronic component assembly
microprocessor schedules LEF position, receives signals from multiple sources (Angle of Attack, Airspeed, Altitude)
rudder
ctrl yaw, 30 deg left & right
AOA
send signals to EAC/FLCC located each side of radome
