To carry passengers, cargo and pilot. Also to carry the engine, wings and tail.

It keeps the plane flying forward and level. It contains the elevators which controls pitch.
Elevators are flaps on a planes horizontal stabilizers. What is their function?
They control pitch and can control speed to some extent.
The rudder is a flap located on a plane’s vertical stabilizer. What is its function?
It helps steer the plane and controls yaw.
Ailerons are flaps on a planes wings. What is their function?
They control roll and make turns.
What should you do if your model airplane banks left?
Curve riders slightly to the right. Bend left aileron up.
You need to modify your model airplane to roll, spin, and loop. What modifications will you make?
Loop - both elevators bent up
Spin - bend rudder to one side
Roll - one aileron up, one down
