This type of terminal attack control is conducted when the FAC is required to visually acquire the attacking aircraft and the target under attack.
In order to minimize fratricide the FAC needs to consider attacking aircraft nose position and geometry. The FAC will clear each individual attack against each target (“CLEARED HOT”).
