Contra-Indications of Adrenaline 1:1000
Do not give repeated doses in hypothermic patients.

Contra-Indications of Amiodarone
None in the context of cardiac arrest.
Contra-Indications of Aspirin
Known aspirin allergy or sensitivity.
Children under 16 years.
Active gastrointestinal bleeding.
Haemophilia or other known clotting disorders.
Severe hepatic disease.
Contra-Indications of Atropine
Should NOT be given to treat bradycardia in suspected hypothermia.
Contra-Indications of Benzylpenicillin
Known severe penicillin allergy (more than a simple rash alone).
Contra-Indications of Chlorphenamine
Known hypersensitivity.
Children less than 1 year of age.
Contra-Indications of Clopidogrel
Known allergy or hypersensitivity.
Known severe liver impairment.
Active pathological bleeding such as peptic ulcer or intracranial haemorrhage.
Contra-Indications of Dexamethasone
Previously diagnosed hypertension.
Systemic infection / sepsis.

Patients with known hypersensitivity.
Contra-Indications of Entonox
Patients with:
Severe head injuries with impaired consciousness.
Decompression sickness (anyone diving within the last 24 hours).
Violently disturbed psychiatric patients.
Intraocular injection of gas within the last 4 weeks.
Abdominal pain where intestinal obstruction is suspected.
Contra-Indications of Furosemide
Pre-comatose state secondary to liver cirrhosis.
Severe renal failure with anuria.
Children under 18 years old.
Contra-Indications of Glucagon
Low glycogen stores (eg. recent use of glucagon).
Hypoglycaemic seizures - Glucose 10% IV is the preferred intervention.
