- boycotts of all British goods
- militias created in all colonies (caused by the Suffolk Resolves which stated that citizens are to be armed and that the Coercive Acts are illegal)

A
military forces made up of volunteers to train irregularly to go against formidable British armies

A
- print money
- worked on relations w/ Indigenous Nations, France, Spain, + the Netherlands
- created a Continental Army instead of separate militias led by George Washington
- post offices set up
- sent Olive Branch Petition to King George III to assure the King colonists wanted peace
