mercy: The queen felt merciful for the innocent man who was accused of murder.

credible = trustworthy, incredible = not trustworthy, unreliable
stubborn: My ex-boyfriend is so stubborn because he keeps asking me out.
when a person has to have it their way, they won’t listen to other people’s ideas or opinions
shallow: When I go swimming, I like the deep end not the shallow end.

drenched: I was walking home and it began to rain - I got drenched!

gleam: At work, we need to make sure the house gleams inside and out!

halt: When the traffic lights are broken, the police officer halts the cars to let pedestrians cross.
