These are certain hints within a certain sentence, paragraph, and or passage that show the unknown word’s meaning
Context clues
it shows a direct definition of an unknown word in the sentence with clue words of:

* is/are called
etc
Definition
Ex.

Synonyms
Ex.

These are words that use the OPPOSITE meaning
Antonyms
Ex.
