The idea that everyone should be equal and wealth should be distributed across society equally

Deserving + Undeserving Poor
In a victorian society people made a distinction between the ‘deserving’ and ‘undeserving’ poor.
This was based off a moral judgement, and it depended on whether they thought a person was poor due to their own immoral actions or due to poverty
Attitude to women in the 1910s
They didnt have the right to vote
Considered second class citizens
More vulnerable than men
