Vision of the Son of Man: John explaining he is on the island of Patmos and hears a voice like a trumpet saying to write to the churches.

Chapter 2
Ephesus:
- jesus introduced as the one who holds the 7 stars, and walks among the 7 lampstands
- praise: patient endurance, tested fasle apostles, and cannot bear those who are evil. Have not grown weary. Hate the Nicolaitans.
- Reprimand: abandoned their first love
- punishment: lampstand removed, unless they repent.
- reward: Tree of life, paradise of God.
Smyrna:
- Jesus introduced as the first and last, died and came to life.
- praise: knows their poverty, but they are rich, and knows their tribulation with the synagogue of Satan. Assures them not to fear suffering.
- tribulation: Devil will throw them into prison for 10 days to be tested.
- reward: faithful unto death and be given the crown of life.
Pergamum:
- Jesus introduced with the sharp double edged sword
- praise: holds fast to His name, even tho Satan’s throne is there. Antipas the faithful witness.
- reprimand: hold the teachings of Balaam & Balak, stumbling block, eat sacrificed foods, and sexual immorality. Some hold the teachings of Nicolaitans.
- punishment: repent if not, He will come and make war with the sword of his mouth.
- reward: hidden manna, white stone, and new name.
Thyatira:
- Jesus: eyes of flames and bronzed feet
- praise: works, love, faith, service, and endurance.
- reprimand: teachings of Jezebel, sexual immorality and sacrificed foods.
Punishment: bed of sickness, dead children, and they will know He tested them. Jesus was will rule with an iron rod.
- reward: the morning star
Chapter 3
Sardis
- Jesus: 7 spirits & 7 stars
- reprimand: reputation of being alive but are dead. Wants them to wake up.
- punishment: come like a thief, they will not know when.
- praise: some have not soiled their garments
- reward: those will walk in white and will not blot their name out of the book of life.
Philadelphia
- Jesus: holy one, true one, key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens.
- praise: they have no power but kept to His name. Only church with nothing against them.
- punishment of those of the Synogague of Satan: they will bow down to the Sardis, and learn that He loves Sardis.
- reward: kept from the hour of trail. He is coming soon, hold fast so none may take the crown. Make them a pillar in the temple of God. Write their name on God, the city of God and New Jerusalem.
Laodicea:
- Jesus: Words of Amen, faithful and true witness, beginning of God’s creation.
- reprimand: they are lukewarm, saying He has riches, but he is in need of nothing. Calls them wretched, poor, blind, and naked.
- counsel: tells them to buy gold from Him by fire, so they may be rich and wear white garments. to those he loves, asks them to be zealous and repent
- reward: he stands at the door and knocks and whoever will open and let him in will ear with him. He will grant a sit on His throne.
Chapter 4
Throne in Heaven:
- door in heaven: inviting john to see what must take place.
- the throne: appearance of jasper, carnelian, rainbow, emerald. 24 thrones around the throne, with 24 elders and crowns. Flashes of lighting and thunder. 7 torches (spirits). Sea of glass before the throne. 4 living creatures: lion, ox, face of man, eagle, with 6 wings full of eyes.
- creatures singing, giving honour and thanks.
- 24 elders fell on the face and sang.
Chapter 5
The Scroll and the Lamb:
- one seated on the throne with a scroll with 7 seals.
- asking who is worthy to open the scroll, and no one said anything, john weeped.
- elder says the Lion of Judah, root of David can open it
- lamb who look like it was slain, 7 horns, seven eyes. Took the seal.
- the creatures and elders fell down, each holding a harp, golden bowls of incense, and sang: worthy is the lamb who was slain
Chapter 6
The 7 Seals
- 1st seal was broken: white horse with a rider & bow, crown, came to conquer.
- 2nd seal broken: red horse rider to take peach from the earth, great sword.
-3rd seal broken: black horse, rider with scales in hand
- 4th seal broken: pale horse, riders name death, hades followed him, given the authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with famine.
- 5th seal broken: souls of the dead, given white robes.
- 6th seal broken: earth quake, black sun, blood moon, stars fell. The sky vanished when the scroll was rolled up, kings and powerful ones, slaves set free hid under rocks.
Chapter 7
The 144,000 of Israel Sealed:
- 4 angels in the 4 corners of earth, holding back the 4 winds.
- an angel ascended form the sun, with the seal of God, told the others not to harm the earth until the 144,000 were sealed.
- 12,000 from each 12 tribes
A Great Multitude from Every Nation
- all nations standing before the lamb clothed in white, crying salvation.
- angels, 4 creatures, and elders worshiped.
- elder addressed John about the nations, they are the ones from the tribulation.
- they will hunger or suffer no more.
Chapter 8
The 7th Seal and the Golden Censer:
- 7th seal broken: silence for 30mins, 7 angels and 7 trumpets. An angel stood at the alter with golden censer and brunt incense, then filled it with fire, and threw it on the earth.
The 7 Trumpets: 1-4
- 1st trumpet: hail of fire mixed with blood, third of the earth burned up.
- 2nd Trumpet: great burning mountain into the sea, which became blood. A third of the creatures and ships died.
- 3rd Trumpet: great star(wormwood) fell to earth, burned third of rivers and springs. Third died from the drinking the water.
- 4th trumpet: third of the sun, moon and stars, and their light was struck. Lost third of the day and night
- The Eagle crying woes over the earth about the next trumpets.
Chapter 9
Trumpets 5-6
- 5th trumpet: star fell and opened the bottomless pit and smoke darkened the sun and air. Locusts came out and tormented humans but did not kill them for 5 months. The Locusts wore gold crowns, human faces, women’s hair, teeth like lions, breastplate of iron, wings loud as chariots.
- 6th trumpet: released the 4 prisoned angels to kill a third of the mankind. Horses wore breastplates of fire sapphire and sulphur, with heads like lions. By three plagues the humans died. Those who survived did not repent, and continued to worship demons and sexual immorality.
Chapter 10
The Angel and the Little Scroll
- angel wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow, face like the sun, and legs of pillars of fire. Held a little scroll, one foot on the land and one in the sea reading.
- John told to take the scroll and eat it, which he did. Went down sweet but turned bitter, and was told to prophesy again.
Chapter 11
The 2 Witnesses
- John given a rod, and measure the temple of God and those who worship there.
- authority of two witnesses was given so that they prophesy for 1,260 days.
- two olive trees & two lampstand, they have the power to shut the sky, turn the sea to blood, and strike the earth with plagues during the prophesying.
- after a beast will rise from the pit, make war and kill the witnesses, as in Sodom and Egypt. Their bodies will lay for 3.5 days and not be buried. After those days God will be called back to even, followed by an earth quack.
- second woe passed.
The 7th trumpet:
- 7th trumpet: loud vices saying God will reign forever. The 24 elders will worship.
- then God’s temple will open.
Chapter 12
The Woman and the Dragon
- women clothed in sun, moon under her feet, and crown of 12 stars. Pregnant and crying in pain. She fave birth to a child who is to rule. Then she fled to the place God prepared for her, for 1260.
- red dragoon, with 7 heads and 10 horns with 7 diadems.
Satan Thrown Down to Earth
- Michael and angels fought against the dragon and he was defeated.
- the serpent was thrown down to earth and his angels were thrown down with him.
- the dragon pursued the women, but women escaped with wings. The serpent tried to drown her. The dragon then raged war against her offspring.
Chapter 13
The First Beast:
- beats rising from the sea, seven heads, 10 horns and diadems, and blasphemous names.
- beast like a leopard, feet like bear, and mouth like a lion. Gave his power to the dragon.
- mortal wound on one of its heads, but healed. Whole earth marveled and followed him.
The Second Beast:
- beast rising from the earth, two horns like lamb and spoke like a dragon. Performed great signs, and marked those who followed him. His number 666.
Chapter 14
Lamb and 144,000:
- mount Zion stood the lamb & 144,000 and they sang, and were virgins
The messages of the three angels
- proclaiming the hour of judgment
Harvest of the earth
- angel used a sickle and harvested the wine, making blood run
Chapter 15
The seven plagues
- sea of glassed mingled with fire
- 7 angels with the 7 plagues, and 7 golden bowls of wrath
- angels entered the sanctuary
