Social mobility
the movement of individuals, families, households or other categories of people within or between social strata in a society.
migration
The movement of people from one place to another to settle, either permanently or temporarily. It can be:
External: Between countries.
Internal: Within one country (most common globally).
Minorities
A group in society with fewer individuals (less than half of the population) and often less power compared to the majority.
Membership is based on observable differences, such as:
Ethnicity (ethnic minority)
Race (racial minority)
Religion (religious minority)
Sexual Orientation (sexual minority)
Disability
Multiculturalism
The belief that cultures, races, and ethnicities—especially minority groups—should be recognized and respected within a dominant political culture.
