PAETE WOODCARVING
Skilled craftsmen and artisans have practiced woodcarving in
Paete since the Spanish times, so that their products have
primarily religious themes. Many residents of Paete are
woodcarvers. It is believed that the name “Paete” comes from the
word “Paet” meaning chisel.
