do courts feel that contact orders are beneficial?
yes they do they try to encourage them as they think it is beneficial.
case which said contact should be up to both parties to prove it should and should not be allowed

court thought that it should be up to the spouse with the child to show that contact should not be allowed. the court also thought that contact should be in the best interests of the child to be proved by the father however now this is not the case. just the spouse holding contact. violated article 8 ECHR
showed that it does not need to be shown that it would be in the childs best intrests for the child.
