Took away the power of the prime minister to call a general election whenever they wished.

If a two-thirds majority of Mp’s in the House of Commons pass a motion for an early election or if a vote of no confidence in the government is passed

In 2017 when Theresa May was able to call a general election because 2/3 of the Mp’s voted in favour of it.
