What does “Ex Post Facto law” mean
Literally “After the Fact Law” No Ex Post Facto means that if you did something while it was legal that subsequently became illegal, you cannot be prosecuted for doing it before it was a crime. (i.e. If I had a glass of wine yesterday and alcohol becomes illegal tomorrow, I cannot be prosecuted for drinking because it was legal when I did it.)
