Supremacy Clause
where the Constitution grants the federal government power, the federal law is supreme
Commerce Clause
grants the federal government the power to regulate commerce with foreign nations, among the several States, and with Indian Tribes;
one of the most powerful tools the government uses to acquire jurisdiction
Spending Clause
Congress shall have the power to provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States
Disposal Clause
Congress shall have power to dispose of and make all needful rules and regulations respecting the Territory or other property belonging to the United States
Full Faith and Credit Clause
Each state is required to recognize the laws and records of other states and to enforce rights in its own courts that would be enforced in other state courts
Necessary and Proper Clause
Gives congress the ability to make new laws required and appropriate for the federal government to execute its responsibilities
Fifth Amendment
Due Process Amendment of the Bill Of Rights requires due process before the government can deprive an individual of property or rights (such as a fine or ability to practice pharmacy)
Tenth Amendment
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
