Explain what a sun spot is.
A dark, black spot on the sun that is not as hot as the rest of the photosphere
Explain the pattern that exists in the number of sunspots that are observed.
The number of sunspots changes in cycles of about 11 years. Sometimes there are many, and sometimes there are few.
