What is a retroflex letter?

A letter sound made with your tounge curled and touching the roof of your mouth.

These letter are unique to Punjabi. We do not use retroflex letter in English. These letters will need the most practice.

How can you tell you are doing a retroflex letter?

Answer 2

Starting with your tongue curled and touching the roof of your mouth make a “t” sound.

Now, with your tongue curled and touching the roof of your mouth make a “d” sound.
