A

Law passed by Congress that allowed for sales of land in the Northwest Territory and set up standards for land sale that became precedents. Among them was the idea of selling mile-square sections of land.

What happened during Shays rebellion? And what did it prove about the Articles or confederation?

A

Judges ordered farmers to sell their land and livestock to pay off debt. Then the rebellion against the government led by Daniel Shay, disbanded the continental army and was unable to stop them. And proved that the government was to weak to create a strong government.
