Define informed consent
process by which a fully informed patient can participate in choices about her health care

can a woman refuse emergency c-section for fetal distress/severe pre-eclampsia etc?
Yes - if deemed has capacity
Define screening
testing asymptomatic or healthy people to detect genetic predispositions or early signs of debilitating or life-threatening illness in order to manage this early
