glass-like translucent cartilage found on many joint surfaces, containing lots of collagen (firm, ribs, joints, sternum, larynx, trachea, bronchi)

tough and flexible (intervertebral discs, hip, shoulder, knee joint, ligaments)

A
provides strength and elasticity to certain parts of the body, (pinna, ear lobe, epiglottis, blood vessels)
