Tissue the lines the inner surface of the eyelids and continues on to the outer surface of the globe except for the cornea
Conjunctiva
Inflammation that causes the small blood vessels in the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva to dilate so that it appears bright pink or red
Conjunctivitis
When one of the tiny blood vessels under the conjunctiva rupture, allowing blood to flow under the tissue..can be caused by violent sneezing or even rubbing of the eyes
Subconjunctival Hemmorage
Small, benign, yellow-white mass of degenerated tissue of the bulbar conjunctiva but does not located on the cornea
Pinguecula
Wedge-shaped growthof the bulbar conjunctiva, due to sun damage, and usually grows onto the cornea
Pterygium
Very common tumors involving the bulbar conjunctiva
Nevi (Freckles)
