what is compliance
when a person goes along with a group only while other group members are present and maintains their own private beliefs
what is identification
where a person temporarily adopts the views or habits of a group but if they cease to identify as a group member then this conformity will also stop
what is internalisation
where a person permanently adopts the behaviour or beliefs of the group carries these out away from group situations and even continues if they stop being a member of the group

when a person is not in doubt but is influenced by social norms, they conform to be liked
