prone to lameness, possible circulatory disturbance, pain, abscesses, white line disease

yes, they are difficult
What are the dangers of low hoof angles?
circulatory congestion; overweight & overloading heels; heel pain; slow hoof growth; tension on digital flexor tendon & compression on navicular structures (toe striking first)
