When are you argue about stuff such as finances or raising children

Arguing because of a miss understanding

When pride or self esteem is involved, personality differences

If a conflict is not solved it is likely to come up again
Sensitive Issues
Hot issues that get under the other person’s skin resulting in an unproductive argument
Fighting for you deeper needs
fighting about one thing in place of what you actually want to fight for
Hidden Payoffs
During conflicts you can bring up something that may be bothering you
Failure to stick to the issues
Going off topic to throw the opponent off
Not wanting to compromise
Arguing to win and will likely go unresolved or more issues will occur later
Poor Timing
Having a fight when someone is not mentally available
Garbage Bagging
Arguing about a bunch of things at once
Playing Psychologist
Saying someone is like their mom or suggesting they have mental issues
Winning at all Costs
Intending to hurt your partner just to win
Claiming the Moral high ground
Suggesting you are better than your opponent
Passive or non assertive behavior
avoiding the conflict in hope that it will go away
Aggressive Behavior
directly standing up for what they believe in while likely being dishonest and inappropriate
Assertive behavior
standing up for your position while not hurting the opponent
Indirect Aggression
hostile in obscure ways
Whiner
they only complain
Accommodating
submitting to others desires or position
Compromise
when both sides get something out of it
