Attendant
Personal stationed outside a permit space that assesses the status of the entrant.

Personal that enters the confined space
Confined Space
Limited means of entry or exit
Entry Confined Space Permit
1) The supervisor must sign it, 2) The permit is only valid for one day. 3) Has to be on file.
Supervisor
Must be trained and experienced with the work site, and hazards of the worksite and confined space.
Permit Required Confined Space
An area that has been evaluated and found to contain potential hazards, the site will now require written authorization for entry.
Acute
Happens instantly.
Chronic
Develops slowly.
Oxygen Hazard
Too much oxygen creates a greater risk of fire or explosion and too little oxygen leads to suffocation.
Flammable Atmosphere
Contains flamble gasses.
Toxic Atmosphere
Contains toxic gasses.
IDLH
Immediate danger to life or health.
Oxygen Enriched Atmosphere
Area that contains more oxygen then the abient air. Any area that contains over 23% oxygen is an OEA.
Oxygen Deficient Atmosphere
Area that contains less oxygen then the abient air. Any area that contains under 19.5% oxygen is an ODA.
Air Monitor
Used to determine air quality.
