Debridement
The removal of damaged tissue or foreign objects from a wound.
In vitro
(of processes or reaction) taking place in a test tube, culture dish, or elsewhere outside a living organism.

Trismus
Spasm of jaw muscles, causing the mouth to remain tightly closed, typically as a symptom of tetanus. Also called lockjaw.
Emphysema
A condition in which air is abnormally present within the body tissues.
Embolism
Obstruction of an artery, typically by a clot of blood or an air bubble.
Ischemia
An inadequate blood supply to an organ or part of the body.
Hematoma
A solid swelling of clotted blood within the tissues.
Anorexia
A lack or loss of appetite for food.
Malaise
A general feeling of discomfort, illness, or uneasiness whose exact cause is difficult to identify.
Leukocytosis
An increase in the number of the white cells in the blood, especially during an inflammation.
Diaphoresis
sweating especially to an unusual degree as a symptom of a disease or a side effect of a drug.
Dystrophy
A disorder in which an organ or a tissue of the body wastes away.
Stasis
Stoppage of flow of a body fluid.
