Onychia( Bacterial infection)
Ingrown toenail, nail grows into side wall piercing the skin and causing pain. Weeping and bleeding. Skin is damaged and open to infection
Onychocryptosis
Hook nail , nail thickens and curves over the fingertip like a horn
Onychogryphosis
Separation of nail plate from the nail bed
Onycholysis
Severe separation of nail plate from the nail bed, resulting the nail falling off completely
Onychomadesis
Tinea unguim, the nail appears thick and chalky
Onychomicosis( fungal infection)
Periodic shedding of part of, or the whole nail
Onychoptosis ( non-inf)
Affecting the eponychium, resulting in weeping and and pus?
Paronychia( bacterial infection)
Spoon shaped nail, nail curves upwards like a spoon
Koilonychia
Trauma to the nail, air bubbles between the keratin layers and shows up as white spots on the nail plate
Leuconychia
Rag nail, the skin at the nail groove detaches from the nail itself and can become sore

Transverse ridges, that lie across the nail, often sign of previous illness

Pitting of the nail with some discolouration as well, this can be identified as small circular dents in the nail plate
Psoriasis
Nail plate can appear shiny with some flaking

Nails are thin and fragiliwith free edge growing over the tip of the finger
