Not a primary reinforcer
A consequent stimulus that acquires reinforcing properties during the lifetime of the organism.
Organisms use conditioned reinforcers to predict the imminent delivery of another reinforcer.

Start with a neutral stimulus:pair the neutral stimulus with a backup reinforcer.

When things that are similar to the conditioned reinforcer emit the same response. (little albert)
