What is the definition of a need? What are the different types of needs?
A need is what is necessary for a person/social system to function within reasonable expectations in a given situation. Felt needs/ Real needs
What is the social systems theory?
The social systems theory provides an understanding of how the environment influences the individual and how they are all part of a larger system.
What subsystems are under the social systems theory?
The change system, Action system, Client system and Target system.
What are the input, throughput, and output in these systems? (social systems)
Input- the energy coming into the system (Eg: husband falls ill)
Throughput- How to deal with the problem (Coping skills)
Output- Reaction/feedback from the environment
What is the ecological perspective in Social Work?
The ecological perspective looks at the person in their environment and how the person in cages with the environment
What is the main assessment aid for the ecological perspective?

Microlevel, Messo level, macro level.
