What is psychology

A

Psychology is the study of many aspects of human life, behaviour and experience and is defined as the scientific study of the human mind and its functions especially those affecting behaviour in a given context.

Some aspects of psychology looks at atypical behaviour but looking at both the everyday behaviour and ascents compliments each other

How early 20th century ideas have influenced modern psychology

A

Schopenhauer’s philosophy was that behaviour is caused by unconscious drives or hidden processes
And this influenced Freud psychoanalysis

Darwins theories led to the field of Evolutionary psychology

These ideas were discussed and debated but none of them were not scientifically tested
