what are different hacking attacks?
ddos, brute force and zero day
what is ddos (distributed denial of service)
a cybercrime in which the attack flood to server with Internet traffic to prevent users from accessing/connected to online services and sites
What is brute force attack?
brutal attackers when a hacker uses automations and scripts to guess passwords to get into peoples files
what is zero day
The term every day used when security teams are unaware of their software vulnerability and they had zero days to work on a security patch or an update to fix the issue. Hackers then take advantage of this and use worms to hack in.
what is a black hat hacker?
Black cat hackers hack/exploit security, vulnerability and software or cooperate systems to get out information or money
What are grey hat hackers?
Grey hat, hackers gain access to a system without the owners permission they look for vulnerabilities and they report their findings to the system’s owner
What is a white hat hacker?
A white hacker is an individual who uses hacking skills to identify security vulnerabilities and hardware software on networks so then companies configure out where they need to fix their problems
what was the computer misuse Act?
The act has the intention of protecting the integrity and security of computer systems and data through criminalising access to them which has not been all for us by the owner of the system or data
what was the copyright designs and patent act?
this actor was introduced to protect the investment of time, money and effort by the people who created original pieces of work e.g. this could be books, compose of music filmmakers or computer game designers. this was to ensure people are rewarded for their endeavours.
What is digital footprint?
Digital footprint is when you go on a website you will leave a trail of data when being on that website whilst using the Internet
