What is the importance of networks
It is essential for businesses’ homes and society to embrace this technology, as it gives them a competitive edge required to be competitive or competent in their line of work.
It is also required in business-to-business transactions and some networks are required to provide their services to other businesses in order to run.
Networks have enabled people to make friends from all over the world and communicate with people that are not within their vicinity geographically. It has changed the way people have come to interact with one another.
What are bits?
In networking, this is just a message. It is a protocol data unit at the lowest level also called the physical layer.
What are protocols?
These are rules that govern data communication.
What is media?
Media is a network cable. It could be physical cable or wireless. What facilitates the communication at the network.
What is LAN?
This is a type of network that spans a small geographical distance.
What are packets?
It is a Packet Data Unit at the network layer or internet layer. When information is sent it is broken down into small pieces, and these pieces are called packets. They have to be the same size, according to the maximum transition unit. A maximum transition unit is also a unit
What is a topology?
This is a network layout. Or how it has been designed.
What is configuration?
This is how you set up your network in order to conform to a certain standard or goal.

Is a network that is operating below its performance baseline.
What is uptime?
Is a network that is operating above its performance baseline.
What is a domain?
A domain defines the operation of an entity. e.g. .com is a logical area configured to achieve something
What are addresses?
These are unique identifiers in a network.
