persuade (change your mind or convince), inform (teach you or educate you), entertain (or tell a story just for fun)
What is a fact?
A fact is something that is true and can be proven.
What is an opinion?
An opinion is the way someone feels about something.
Can you debate about facts?
No. They are either true or false.
Which one causes debates: facts or opinions?

How can you figure out what a word means if you have no idea?
Use the sentence and paragraph around it (the context clues) to think of a word you know that could replace it.
Is it okay to write in the story on a test just like we do in class?
