Describe a Greek drama.
Few characters, 3 speaking actors, 1 story told - no subplots, chorus sets the atmostphere/tone, no comic relief but the chorus sung a poem. ; Theatre was always directly connecterd to Dionysus.
What were the three kinds of Greek columns and how did they differ?
The Doric: no base, tapered slightly upwards; The Ionic: Stood on a base, more slender; The Corinthian: Capitals carved in the form of leaves.
How did the Greeks use ornament in their architecture?
On the top of their columns (capitals) to ease the transition between the horizontal and vertical line.
What were the different statues of Athena?
Athena Nike, Athena Promachos, and Athena Polias.
What were the different metopes symbolized in the pediments?
There were different pictures shown but the main theme they followed was a usually good vs. evil.
