What are compounds
A
A chemical compound is a substance made of 2 or more elements joined by chemical bonds. Some are made up of molecules and others are made of crystal lattices.

A
Form a crystal lattice in which the bonds are very strong therefore are solid at room temperature
For example salt or sodium chloride

Molecular compounds also known as molecular formulas describe how many of each atom make up a molecule
