Contribute to Coagulopathies & Exacerbate Acidosis
Compound Sodium Lactate- Contraindications
NIL
Dehydration
IV/IO- 10ml/kg bolus. NO Repeat. MAX TOTAL DOSE 10ml/kg
Traumatic Hypovolaemia- Adult
IV- 250ml bolus. Repeat 250ml until radial pulse/ sys bp 100mmhg (with head injury). NO MAX TOTAL DOSE.
Traumatic Cardiac Arrest
IV/IO- 250ml bolus. repeat whilst indicated. MAX TOTAL DOSE 1000ml.
Medical Hypoperfusion/ Hypovolaemia
20ml/kg bolus. Repeat whilst indicated. NO MAX
Trauma in Pregnancy
IV/IO- 250ml bolus. Repeat to maintian sys bp >90mmhg. NO MAX TOTAL DOSE
Cardiogenic Shock
IV- 10ml/kg bolus. Repeat once every 1hr. MAX TOTAL DOSE 20ml/kg.
Burns
IV/IO- 10ml/kg bolus. Repeat once per hr. NO MAX
Newborn Resus
IV/IO- 10ml/kg bolus. NIL Repeats. MAX TOTAL DOSE 10ml/kg.
Traumatic Hypovolaemia- Paed
IV/IO 10ml/kg bolus. Max bolus 250ml. Repeat 10ml/kg to maintain within age range BP. NO MAX
Traumatic cardiac Arrest- Paed
IV/IO- 10ml/kg Max bolus 250ml. Repeat once. MAX TOTAL DOSE 20ml/kg
Crush Injuries/ Trapped Pts/ Hyperkalemia/ Hyperglycaemia
IV/IO- 10ml/kg bolus. Repeat whilst indicated. NO MAX
