55% Plasma - 45% Formed cells.
What is Plasma made up of?
Water, Electrolytes, Hormones, Blood proteins and Nutrients
What is the formed cells made up of?
Mostly RBCS, WBCS and platelets.
What is the terminology of the three cells
Erythrocytes, Leukocytes and Thrombocytes.
Blood proteins are?
Fibrinogen - helps with clotting.
Where do the blood cells originate from?
The bone marrow
Most concentrated bones filled with red bone marrow?
Ribs, sternum, vertebrae and pelvis
Pluripotent
Immature cells known as stem cells to later differentiate themselves into any type of blood cell. (RBCS,WBCS, or platelets)
What is the process called of making new red blood cells?
Erythropoiesis
Oh no!! Your tissues are lacking O2 what is triggered? And stimulates the growth/production of new RBCS?
