What type of religion is Judaism and what does it mean?
It’s a monotheistic religion. That means the belief in one God.
What is God?
God is a single whole being that cannot be divided.

He is best expressed in the first two verses of the Shema, an important Jewish prayer.

The Shema
The prayer that expressed the oneness of God. It is said in the morning and at night.
Recite Deuteronomy 6:4:
Hear Isreals: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Why is Deuteronomy 6:4 important?
Because God is the only God, Jews believe that they should love Him with all their heart, soul and strength.
What does Genesis tell Jews?
Genesis tells Hews that God is the one creator of the whole world.
How did God create the universe?
God created the universe out of nothing, exactly how he wanted it to be.
What effect does God have on the World?
Therefore God has a major effect and influence in the world and people’s place within it.
What does God exited the from his people?
God expects Loyalty from His people for giving them the gift they is Earth and because He sustains the world in which the live.
Why is it important for Jews to believe in the Oneness of God?
It is important for Jews to believe in the oneness of god because the Shema tells us that god is the only God and therefore they should love Him with all of their heart, soul and strength
How do Jews reward God?
Because Jews believe God is one they love him with all their heart soul and strength.
